RJ’s Moving was founded in 1969, by Robert James Millar. The goal was to provide London with an honest, dependable, high quality delivery service. Starting out with a pick-up truck and trailer, store deliveries were a huge part of his business. Within 6 months, some of these delivery clients inquired about RJ’s doing their moves.

In 1970, he purchased his first full sized moving truck. Although the fleet has remained relatively small, it was his mission to have high quality service over a large fleet. Keeping it as a smaller, independent, family run business, it allows us to personally connect with all our customers, and have full control of the daily operations.

In 1974, he married Janet. Janet has had a dedicated role in managing the office, and works hands on with residential packing.

Their son Nicholas entered into the business in the early 90’s. His dedication is the same as his fathers, and looking after the customer is always their #1 priority. Nicholas’ wife, Katharine, joined the business in 2005.

Now as we enter our 40th year, while maintaining what we have built so far, we are continually looking at ways to improve and keep an open mind for new ideas.

The crew you sent was excellent. They were very competent, organized and worked well as a team. I was very impressed by how quickly they worked.
